(there are thousands of methods but only 2 ways)

Through marketing, or through mass traffic generation. (when you can do both watch out!)

Most people don’t truly “get” marketing and go for the “easy” kill (mindless traffic generation). Example - Adsense sites, link bombing, mass site creation, super mega backlink packets, etc…

This is the lets throw as much crap against the wall and see what sticks method, its guaranteed to fail. With such a hit or miss strategy the odds are stacked against you, this is the one in million chance of success syndrome that defeats people. They get dissillusioned and sceptical about all things IM. and a vicious downward spiral occurs.

For most people traffic is the last thing they need.

The more traffic you send to a badly converting web page the more dissillusined you get and the spiral gets faster and faster until you have no hope of success… That is, until you can learn marketing.

The good news is Marketing is a science that can be taught easilly…The bad news is the key to making marketing work is not just knowing the science, its knowing when and where to apply it.

Marketing is basically about learning to convert the information searcher, or the non-buyer, or not sure buyer, into your buyer.

Examples… Offering freebies to get on a list, one time offers, targeted reviews, bonus offers, special prices, webinars, product launches, persuasive articles, jv’s, building authority and trust, etc…

Now, at the very core of marketing, is knowing the type of audience, how to communicate with them, creating value to match their wants/needs, and then persuading the sale.

If you are driving traffic and not getting the result you desire then you are probably not really putting in the effort and thought into understanding the product and the targeted buyer, and subsequently matching them up.

This can be quite the mystery, even to seasoned veterans. People are weird, and unpredictable at times.

You must learn to create or communicate value, answer and remove objections, and all to the appropriate audience.

In short, most people are looking for methods, but skip the actual marketing. It’s understandable. nobody teaches “marketing” anyway because nobody buys it. You usually only find it hidden in the trenches of products behind the flashy methods. People don’t want to think, they generally just want some method to blindly follow. So you probably won’t find this type of info in too many IM products.

The LFMpire builders coaching program is different, the core of the program is the marketing. Giving you a blue print site and then offering coaching on demand by giving you personalised hot seats on all the sites you build with the login frequency software is the key to making our students successful.

Once you get it, the quick fix is easy. And you can move on and use and understand the flashy methods to create true wealth.

Another example, I could no doubt make a product this afternoon, and sell it in the warrior forum as a WSO tomorrow and make money, but that doesn’t mean anyone else can do the same. See, the method itself isn’t the answer. Without knowing the marketing, the audience, or what they value, a WSO could be a giant flop.

Finding what people want is easy…Driving traffic is easy…selling and marketing the thing is harder, unless you have the marketing basics down pat and understand the why when and where to use them

Emotional intelligence is way more important than tech. knowledge. But guess what most focus on?

Once you understand this principle than you can use about any method you want…

Gary and I (along with our in house team) have just spent the last 5 months completely revamping our premium product LFM

Over the last 18 months we have been steadilly building up our coaching program based around the launch formula Marketing membership software

Over that time we have come to realise that launch formula marketing was a dumb name for something that has become not just software but a marketing strategy responsible for giving not just us but our coaching students a full time income online.

In short its not just software its a money making machine, and were so proud of what its done for both us and other people we decided to give it a real identity. So we are rebranding it as well as revamping it.

Launch formula marketing is dead…

Long live login frequency marketing

Right now if you go to
http://loginfrequencymarketing.com all you will see is my old version of the LFM manuscript no links to purchase the software at all.

Because while we have pretty much everything put together there are still some elements left to do, not much but enough to delay putting up the full sales letter with all the new features and benefits etc.

There is still a couple of additions to the software we have to test before we add it.

But whats there is so powerful I want it for myself… NOW

So I have told Gary and the team to update the LFM installer and make it available to me, which means you have an opportunity.

A small window in which to get it for half price…

Ok so I know you will have questions, first of which is if its so great, why offer it at half price. Because it isnt 100% complete, while the new user manual is done, the new manuscript isnt finished yet and thats a significant piece of the puzzle

We decided if were going to rebrand the software into not just software but a strategy we needed to make sure you could use that strategy to make you money the same way we (and our coaching students) do so the manuscript is a complete How and why to use each of the features in LFM

Yes thats right we are going to explain step by step why we put each feature into login frequency marketing, how we use it, and how it brings us traffic and sales. So by being a little patient and waiting a week or so for that and the other features were still testing you get the 50% discount.

================================
Example video of how we show you everything
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nlil0xb6N1s
================================

And the promise that you will get access to everything as we complete each module of the new software and program. We will even give you the chance to join our full coaching package at a vastly reduced price just for being our beta customer.

So before this gets to long here is the link to get the Login Frequency Marketing software at half price
http://loginfrequencymarketing.com/signup.php?pc=special

Most Software products just let you lose with the software and your on your own, This one comes with a brand new user manual, user cheat sheets and marketing manuscript being written to compliment this product.

We plan on showing you how each feature should be used to increase profits, over my shoulder explanations of where and why each feature should be used.

Marketing suggestions and examples that you can follow and integrate into your business.

In a nutshell were going to tell you this feature is here because it allows you to make money by doing this, this and this

So what are all these exciting new feature I keep harping on about?

Custom Themes
(Including access to an LFM theme generator so you can build custom themes on the fly)

Last Login and IP Tracking
(very useful when you need to fight fraudulent refunds or charge backs)

List Incomplete Signups
(Very useful when someone aborts the payment process when they get to the payment page, this allows you to give them a special deal when they login to the pending page, and increases revenue)

Twitter integration
(So your members can tweet about your site from in the members area)

Face Book integration
(So your members can add messages to their face book profile about your site from in the members area)

Amazon S3 integration
(So you can easily and quickly add videos to your product pages)

Integrated Video Player
(Add video to your LFM pages easily… video player integrates automatically with your Amazon S3 codes, but even if you don’t use S3 the video player makes adding video to your pages super simple)

Integrated audio player
(Adding MP3 files is now a cinch using our LFM audio player)

Create Rebranded PDF files (unlimited)
Being able to offer customised rebranding of e-books is a very profitable up sell strategy

Customise your affiliate area to include affiliate ads

Multilevel Menu system
Every time you add a content page to your LFM site the system auto adds a tab to your navigation Bar, these can be associated with Parent tabs to create multi level Menu’s Extremely useful when you create a lot of content

And Finally… This is not a permanent offer, its a one off chance to get in on something while its in Beta. the link will be gone in a week, or at least it wont work anymore…

You can’t just offer any bonus, though. It should be something that is related to the original affiliate offer, and it should be something truly valuable that complements the affiliate product well.

Let’s face it, people love getting “gifts”. Everyone loves free stuff, right?

And if the gift has a very high perceived value, and it goes well with the offer, it will increase conversions like nothing you’ve ever seen!

The right bonus can double, or even triple your conversions. Best of all, bonuses are really simple to provide. Years ago, whenever companies would provide bonuses for their products, it had to be a physical product. Before the internet, there was no way to deliver a digital download. Even software products had

to be loaded on disks and shipped.

These days things are much simpler. Digital downloads can be incredibly powerful motivators, especially if they complement the product well.

For example, if you’re promoting a course about making money with blogs, you could offer bonuses such as WordPress themes, blog security plugins, or other similar bonuses.

Not only can bonuses skyrocket your affiliate conversions, but you can also make money via upsells through those bonuses. A really good OTO can make you more money than the affiliate commissions themselves!

Using a membership site to deliver your product – whether it’s an eBook, a video series, a traffic exchange, or anything else – provides you with plenty of website real estate to offer Internet Marketers when arranging joint venture promotions. No doubt about it, one of the core elements of Launch Formula Marketing is partnering with other Internet Marketers to promote each other’s products.

So are their any drawbacks to this flexible approach? Just the one. Something that is common to 99.99% of online marketing strategies. Finding joint venture partners takes time and effort.

You might not see this as a problem. After all, most things that are worthwhile require some kind of investment. As we’ve previously discussed, when it comes to finding joint venture partners to promote your product in exchange for a permanent advert on your membership site, you won’t find a shortage of willing participants.

But there’s a reason why LFM become the cornerstone of my online success. Because even the time and effort required to find joint venture partners can be reduced and, eventually, eliminated completely. The technique I’m about to reveal will show you how to engineer a situation where marketers actively seek YOU out, and approach YOU with a joint venture request.

Not only does this take most of the effort out of the exchange, it also puts you in a much more powerful position. Now YOU get to call the shots!

Phase One: Channelling Traffic

I described this in more detail in the previous issue but the gist is to contact other marketers and invite them to take part in some kind of advertising exchange. There are lots of variations of how you might set this up but, for the most part, you offer to place a permanent banner or button on one of your membership pages (login page, thank you page, members homepage, logout page, etc), advertising their website and, in exchange, they agree to send one or two emails to their mailing list promoting yours.

Phase Two: Name Dropping

Once you have a few of these joint venture arrangements in place, you can start using this fact to encourage more people to say yes to your joint venture invitation. Use a little subtlety to maximise the effect. For example:

“I’ve already made similar agreements with Marketer Joe and Guru Pete so you’ll be in expert company. In fact I think you’ll feel pretty stupid if you don’t join in as well!”… Whoops Wrong way try again

“If you want to see how this will work in practice, you can see a couple of examples on my login page (LINK) that I’ve created for Marketer Joe and Guru Pete. If you’re agreeable to this exchange, I’ll be placing your advert permanently on my “thank you” page so it will be seen by every single one of my customers… PERFECT AN OFFER THEY CANT REFUSE

Of course, I’m sure I don’t need to tell you not to lie and pretend you have an agreement with a high profile marketer that you’ve never even spoken to. When you have a notable name onboard, only THEN can you use it as social proof.

Phase Three: Autoresponder Exchange

Once you have a customer base to call upon, you can start throwing autoresponder exchanges into the mix. As the name suggests, this means your joint venture partner places a promotional email for your product into their autoresponder. You need to be selective if you’re going to offer the same in return otherwise you can lose the trust of your subscribers. Don’t forget, however, that the exchange doesn’t need to be symmetrical. There’s nothing to stop you from offering a banner on your login page in exchange for an email in their autoresponder.

Phase Four: Preferred Partner Program

Once you have a regular flow of traffic, you’re ready for the final phase that will move you from seeking JV partners, to having them seek you. Initially this is going to sound counter-intuitive but reserve judgement until you’ve read this entire section.

You’re going to establish a “Preferred Partner Program” (although you can call it anything you like). This is a list of joint venture partners that have permission to offer their customers preferential rates on your services. This could be a discount, a free trial period, a specific bonus, anything you like as long it has a specific value and only your Preferred Partners can offer it.

Your partners will promote this preferential rate through their members area, on their thank you page, through an autoresponder email, however you want to arrange it. The upshot is that all of their current and future customers will receive a promotion for your product and an incentive to join or purchase.

So far, this is no different to any of the previous phases. The key distinction is that, on your homepage, you place a clearly visible notice informing your visitors that you operate a Preferred Partner Pricing System and that customers of these Partners are entitled to a discount. Beneath the notice you have a link to a page that lists all of your partners, including a direct link to each participating website. Yes, I know it sounds crazy to provide your visitors with a reason to leave your website and the opportunity to do. Like I said, reserve judgement for the moment.

Visitors that read this notice on your homepage and click on the link will usually do one of the following:

A) Find a Preferred Partner on the list with which they are already a member and then take a trip to that website to find the special discounted link for your product.

B) Visit one of the Preferred Partners and join their website so they can find the special discounted link for your product.

C) Visit one of the Preferred Partners but never return to your website.

In scenarios A and B, after a short delay, you still obtain a customer. Scenario C might be seen as a problem but if someone isn’t interested enough in your product to be bothered to return, even with the prospect of a discount, then it’s unlikely they were going to become a happy customer at this time anyway. In practice, this happens far less than you might imagine and any loss in this area is MORE than made up for by the combined promotional power of your Preferred Partners, all merrily advertising your product.

Now here’s the clincher. Underneath the notice about the Preferred Partner Pricing System, you have another notice that says something to the effect of, “If you are a program owner and wish to be part of our Preferred Partner Pricing System please click here for details.” This link goes to a page with your contact details (or better yet, a contact form) and warmly invites program owners to take part in this mutual exchange.

Can you see the power of this? A program owner comes to your site (maybe because one of your joint venture partners sent them a promotion about your product) and they see your list of Preferred Partners enjoying promotion directly from your homepage. Maybe some of the websites on this list are their competitors. This is superb bait for persuading marketers to contact YOU to become a joint venture partner and this has a snowball effect. The more new Partners you obtain, the more people out there promoting your product; the more visitors and customers you receive, the more marketers will hear about your joint venture operation and will contact you to get involved.

On one website where I used this system, I obtained over SIXTY Preferred Partners, and about two-thirds of those were program owners who contacted ME to ask if they could take part! You’re now free to pass judgement on this strategy. How does the idea of having 60+ joint venture partners promoting your product on a long-term basis sound?

And the icing on the cake is that though you may be sending them traffic and getting less for your product (through the discount) those preferred partners will be sending you far more traffic and new customers than you will be sending them. And there is also no reason not to make those links on your preferred partner page your affiliate links for those partner sites, further increasing your bottom line.

Potential preferred partners will get right away that you will be sending them buyers who want to buy your product through their affiliate link that gives you a whole lot of leverage in what you ask for in return.

I have taken screen shots of growth to a brand new twitter account I set up just to do this trial. You can see the results here http://mybestbonusoffer.com/twittollower.htm

It’s the kind of tool you’ve always wished someone would make for newbies and experts alike, and one that can really bridge the difference and divide between expert and newbie… that NO-ONE will be able to tell the difference.

In all my years in marketing online, I have not seen a quicker or easier system for building huge lists.

Took me all of 3 minutes to set up, and then nothing to do at all after that.

But it’s essential that you watch the whole video so you understand fully how POWERFUL this system is.

If you want thousands and thousands of targeted followers following you on twitter, then you NEED to watch this video from beginning… ALL THE WAY TO THE END

People tend to isolate themselves and feel as if they’re the only ones hitting a particular wall but the fact is a relatively small number of challenges are keeping the majority of people from enjoying success.

The inability to create traffic from thin air is a huge stumbling block for serious yet inexperienced entrepreneurs. The common “solution” offered to this is to leverage other people’s traffic through joint ventures - much easier said than done when you’re new and unknown.

Another key complaint is the difficulty in keeping up with all the new “must do” marketing gimmicks that come along month after month. Looking at Internet Marketing from a bird’s-eye perspective, one could easily get the impression that to be successful, it’s mandatory to become an expert at blogging, Twitter, Web 2.0, search engines, and a whole slew of other practices. Honestly, who has the time to become even basically proficient in a dozen different methods, much less develop genuine expertise?

Forget the 101 different marketing processes that you’re being pressured to learn; these are things you can outsource later on. For now, all you need is a small set of tactics that work well. You can build a lucrative venture from only a handful of effective methods, whereas you’ll only run yourself ragged trying to become an ace at everything.

I believe a single, simple solution can be applied effectively to these and other common problem areas. I call this solution Login Frequency Marketing, or LFM.

Create Login Power

It may surprise you to know that a login device is all you need to create extraordinary results. The very simple act of placing something people want in a secure member’s area, hence requiring them to log in and get it, opens the doors to a whole range of powerful, profitable strategies.

Contrary to popular objections, membership sites don’t all have to be based on monthly recurring subscriptions. Nowhere is it written that you must convince people to pay you every month, and that you must come up with new material on a monthly basis to appease your customers. The membership model is the most surefire way to go from struggling and confused to profitable and confident and, I promise, setting up and running your own great member site is nowhere near as difficult, costly, or time consuming as most people think.

For that matter, you don’t even need to sell anything to succeed with a member site that uses LFM. You can give away a free report, free software application, or free e-course and simply require prospects to register a member account and then log in to obtain their gift.

The point that I’m in danger of laboring is that creating and running a membership website need not be a lot of fuss and hassle. Now let’s get to the point: How can an LFM membership strategy level the playing field for a marketer that doesn’t have an established reputation or a ton of cash?

Mission Impossible: Creating Traffic

The concept of creating traffic is a myth. You may think of this as merely a semantic distinction but it will open your eyes to the reality of internet activity. The truth of the matter is that to create traffic you would have to contact a person offline and then convince them to power up the PC, connect to the web, and then visit your website. Even direct marketing and telesales operations who aim to accomplish traffic creation in this way won’t usually convince someone to drop everything and go online that instant. In practice, all they can hope to do is plant an idea in someone’s mind so that the next time they log in to check their email, they remember to visit the promoted website.

When marketers say they create traffic, what they really mean is that they direct traffic. At any given moment in time there exists Internet traffic made up of millions of people that are either surfing randomly or online for a specific purpose. Don’t try to do the impossible and manifest visitors from the ether. Tap into existing streams of traffic and divert some of them your way.

Think like a hot dog vendor for a moment. Does a hot dog vendor set up his cart in the middle of nowhere and then send out leaflets hoping to attract visitors? Of course not! He goes where there is ALREADY an abundance of people, establishes a visible position, and starts redirecting traffic. To begin with, people just stop to grab a hot dog before continuing on their journey. Eventually, some of the regular foot traffic in that area will start to go out of their way to buy their lunch.

There’s a very good chance that you’re not in business online to sell hot dogs but the principle is the same. Find places that already enjoy a large volume of regular visitors and convince some of that traffic to make a stop-off at your website.

Joint ventures and cross-promotions are a consistently effective way to accomplish this. People go online to read Marketing Joe’s emails and he recommends they take a trip to your website. Or they go to a download page after making a purchase and see a message by the product creator, recommending your website. How do you convince product and mailing list owners to join you in a joint venture or cross-promotion? This is where LFM starts to open doors.

Your membership site, however simple, gives you legitimate, virtual real-estate to leverage in joint venture and cross-promotion discussions. The very fact that you’ve put in the small amount of work required to set up a membership property tells prospective partners that you’re serious and intelligent. Professional marketers instantly understand the value you can offer with the basic membership process. As new people register for your site, and especially as they log in repeatedly, they can be exposed to promotions and offers at various intervals.

You could approach a marketer in your niche that has a big mailing list and offer to place an advert for their product on your login page. This way all your members are guaranteed at some point to see the promotion; many of them will be exposed to it multiple times. As your membership grows, more and more prospects will have the opportunity to respond to your promo partner’s advert.

As long as your site looks good, your product is of a quality nature, and you conduct yourself in a professional manner, you’ll be pleasantly surprised to get positive responses from many of the potential partners you approach. Marketers like the idea of having their adverts posted in private member areas; there’s just something exclusive about this kind of access to another entrepreneur’s members.

Marketers also appreciate the benefits of receiving ongoing promotion over a long period of time. To increase the number of positive responses you receive to your joint venture invitations, you can over-deliver by offering a PERMANENT advert placement in exchange for just 1-2 email broadcasts. Even if you’re just starting out and only have a small existing membership, you can tempt marketers with the promise of long-term promotion. All they have to do is run a couple of promotional emails for you now and they’ll be assured of being placed in the line of sight of all of your members, maybe for years to come.

Essentially what you’re doing here is offering virtual real estate, much like an agency that sells billboard space along the highway. How many other methods of directing traffic can you think of that allow you to snag attractive, joint venture partners without the need to own a large mailing list or a popular website?

Because your member’s area will likely have a variety of different pages, you can also tailor your proposal to suit your joint venture partners. For instance, you may have an article or lesson in your member’s area that’s related to a potential partner’s main product. If you don’t have such a page, why not create one specifically for the purpose of setting up your cross-promotion? Doing this enables you to make a highly attractive offer. Just about any product owner would love to have their wares promoted alongside a targeted article.

You might sweeten the pot still more by offering to place partner ads on a “thank you” page that your members see after buying something from you. Savvy marketers will be especially interested in this because they know the best place to advertise is in front of pre-qualified buyers. Maybe you’ll go another step and set up some sort of downline builder in your membership site. This will provide multiple levels of prospects and affiliates for a joint venture partner. In exchange for a mailing or two, you could agree to make your associate’s program a permanent part of your downline builder page.

By setting up these ad placements with 3, 5, 10, or more partners you’ll be able to direct a substantial amount of traffic in a very short period of time. By offering some sort of free gift or membership, you’ll convert this traffic into qualified email subscribers, providing long-term profitability for you and giving you increased leverage for brokering future deals. Offering a life-time advert in exchange for a couple of one-time email promotions will help you get your foot in the door in the beginning. Once you’re enjoying a steady stream of traffic and a healthy pool of members you’re in a position to broker better deals that are weighted in your favor.

If you start to run out of real estate with your current membership site, don’t over complicate matter, just build a new one! Use your existing membership to populate the new site and you instantly have a shiny new bargaining chip you can use to launch a new cycle of highly effective promotions.

With proper use of LFM, your traffic problems can be effectively erased. Because there are numerous ways to use your membership program strategically, you can focus on becoming an expert with LFM and not overwhelm yourself trying to keep up with the latest and greatest trends in Internet marketing.

I’ll be revealing some of the more sophisticated applications of LFM in the coming issues. I hope you’ll stay tuned because the LFM system is easy to implement and virtually guaranteed to put more money into your bank account.

this was in response to the perrenial question about how everybody hates long sales letters

We know people dont read long sales letters from start to finish…

Here is what they do (and why a good long sales letter works)

First they scan the headline and the first paragraph (so this should be your strongest reason for buying)

Then they scroll down to the price… Which is why your PS: and PPs should be right under the price, and they should reinforce the headline and strongets selling points. (there is room to add a 3rd USP in the PS that werent in the top of the fold)

Then if we still have them (IE they are the prospect we aimed at) then they will go back to the start of the letter and skim it. So the highlighted and boldened parts should be your short form sales copy, by that I mean if the bold parts were taken out and put on a seperate page it would read like a mini message and make perfect sense.

Now some of those will convert at that point… Still others will have questions

The rest of the sales letter is designed to answer those questions, and over come any objections

Different people will have different questions, which is why the long form letter comes into its own, use it to answer any conceivable question your prospect may have.

Not all the questions will be relevant to each prospect, but you must cater for everyone so the sales letter ends being long enough to make sure every question or objection that could come up is covered somewhere in the letter.

For those that just need the bullet points and the price they have them

For those that need the bullet points the price and a specific question answered they have them

For those just needing a short form letter they have them in the bolded parts
etc etc etc

Testimonials should be used to reinforce the message in the sales letter… for example if the sales letter says its easy to install any 5 year old can do it… then add a (real) testimonial here from someone who says… “wow im such a clutz with techy stuff and the install was a breeze thank you very much for making it so simple”

In ofline selling situations the salesman comes armed with a presentation for the prospect, which is pre written in most cases and has to be learnt parrot fashion… this is the short form sales letter. Any fool can be taught to deliver this… and it will result in some sales

The true selling only starts after the presentation has been delivered…

The best salesman know that in order to be the best you have to know how to counter the prospects objections…As a sales trainer i have seen new salesman get up from a presentation to leave at the first objection and sit down again as I counter that objection this can go on for minutes. In one case I watched a fledgling salesman get up 5 times to leave

5 times I countered the objection and in the end the customer (no longer a prospect) bought 7 units

The real selling starts once the short copy is delivered, remember that phrase…

The objection countering is the long form sales letter and the reason it exists… And the reason why if you just rely on the presentation that any fool can deliver your going to lose sales hand over fist.

This was the result http:/tweetmereport.com

we also developed some software that enables you to run free report sites, that allows you to either ask for payment (in this case $7) or they can tweet for it and get it free. the software is the upsell on this site ($47)

the software caters for list building via normal email collection and grows your twitter following, in the case of tweetmereprt by taking the upsell all members who promote it get their tweet profile in the tweet, so everyone they send there gets to follow them, instead of me.

With just one tweet from me the site has added 66 new followers to my twitter list in 24 hours because of the retweets etc and they all went on my aweber list to.

Ok so why mention it here… well no big promotion for it. its not a major product. But well worth putting into your marketing arsenal. If you like the idea and want to add it to your log in pages etc i’d appreciate it

Of course you will have to tweet at least to get an affiliate id and the splash page

unprofitable Website. While every site obviously needs visitors to flourish, the reality is that most struggling marketers are not properly leveraging the traffic they already have.

When I first brought this topic up on my blog, I caused a bit of a stir. It’s
difficult for website owners to understand that they can make more money without increasing their traffic but there’s nothing new to the “more is less”
philosophy. Virtually every marketing consultant on the planet will ask you to
look closely at resources you already have, before urging you to develop new
products or look for new prospects.

In this article I’m going to concentrate on a strategy dubbed, Login Frequency
Marketing, or LFM. This straightforward concept is the single biggest
contributor to my early success. It allowed me to stop working hard for a little
extra cash and start enjoying a great full-time living from Internet marketing.

When I first began my journey to online success, I struggled with issues that I
suspect many people reading this can relate to. I lacked the resources to
compete with the big hitters, I didn’t have much traffic and I couldn’t line up
JVs because nobody knew me.

I used the membership site model to overcome every single one of these issues
and, with only a small amount of effort, you can duplicate or exceed my success.

Don’t be intimidated by the idea of owning a membership website. Contrary to
popular belief, membership sites do not always involve a monthly commitment to creating new content. It’s not written in stone that your member program must require you to convince prospects to sign up for a continuity plan.

The typical response to the suggestion of starting a membership site is
hesitation or dismay, primarily because of the way this model has been portrayed in mainstream discussions. Over the next few months I’m going to outline a membership site method that is neither commonly taught, nor used, but that can produce incredible results.

I look forward to busting a few of the main myths and misconceptions surrounding the membership site model. For now, here are the key points I want you to absorb:

• Your member site does not necessarily have to promise new content each month.
• You can profit immensely without charging a recurring monthly fee.
• A successful membership site can be built around any product or service!
• Above all, a membership site is a powerful delivery mechanism!

This particular delivery system can bring you eager JV partners, residual
income, instant traffic, and a responsive mailing list. For these and other
reasons I believe the membership model is absolutely the most effective avenue for building an unstoppable online business. A membership site following the LFM strategy can greatly enhance the results of even the most basic campaign. Allow me to demonstrate how this works.

Login & Cash In

Let’s say you want to build your list by giving away a free report. Rather than
just using an autoresponder to collect signups and sending the download link via email, you can place your gift inside a secure member’s area.

Member registration forms take about the same time to complete as email
subscription forms, and prospects who really want your free information will be
happy to fill out a couple of extra fields. Once the process is complete your
membership software can add the new signups directly into the autoresponder
database of your choice.

When your new subscriber/member logs in to collect his or her gift, you can take them through an entire series of paid offers before they arrive in the main
member’s area. As this person has just taken positive action by requesting
something from you, they are ideal prospects for an exciting offer. Most quality
member scripts will allow you to configure the offer process for maximum profit; if a member chooses not to buy the first offer the software can show them a “second chance” pitch that gives them specially reduced pricing.

This is such a simple strategy, yet it allows you to literally get paid while
you build your list! With a good membership script you can even track affiliate
sales on the login offers, thus providing other marketers with an incentive for
sending you new subscribers.

Once you have a login mechanism, you can pull those same people back into the system and walk them past new offers anytime you like; all you have to do is add more free content or gifts to the download area. Send an email inviting members to login and collect a new bonus you’ve just added, and watch the money roll in as a percentage of them also make a purchase.

EXPERT TIP: Whenever you want to test a new sales
page, you can simply add it to your membership site as a login offer.

This is such an incredibly easy way to make money. Over the years I have
identified a whole host of ways to get members to log back in. You might even
consider requiring your members to login at least once every 30 days to retain
active status. By configuring your script to send reminder emails, you’ll be
able to present new offers on a regular basis as people log in just to avoid
being deleted from the system. Repeat traffic of this nature is one of the most
reliable ways to increase revenue

You can also give each of your new members an affiliate link so they can build
your list and create more new sales for you. In fact you can send the affiliate
information out automatically each time someone registers an account. In this
scenario instead of just sending a welcome email with the download link each
time a subscriber comes along, you’ll be actively compounding your earnings by instantly converting new leads into affiliates.

Joint Venture Bait

I discovered early on that just having a login mechanism could even help me
generate more JV support. It was actually quite shocking what a simple login
page allowed me to do in terms of recruiting powerful, joint venture partners.

It occurred to me that if I couldn’t generate plenty of my own traffic, perhaps
I could use the flow of traffic generated by successful marketers. You’ve
probably heard this before and if you’re like most, you’ll say it sounds
impossible… but it’s not. In fact pulling traffic from existing sources is
surprisingly easy once you have a plan and some leverage. The key word here is leverage; you need something prospective partners want.

A simple membership website allows you to create instant leverage because you have a platform for delivering long-term exposure to any promotional partners. In my case I got people with large email lists to promote my products by agreeing to place permanent ads for their products on my member login page.

I benefited from a spike in leads and sales from their email broadcast and they
enjoyed a steadily growing stream of traffic from my ad. As my membership grew so did the number of visitors I was able to send to my joint venture partners. By using a simple rotator script to display ads from multiple partners, I easily lined up reciprocal email promotions from many people and over time I received a substantial flow of traffic from those mailings. This is a totally win-win scenario and you don’t need much to pull it off.

Even if you don’t have many members in the beginning, most people will be willing to work with you as long as your site and product are quality. Prospective partners will understand that, because of the permanent nature of the ad on your login page, their traffic will increase over time as your membership expands.

This tactic takes a little time to pay off but it’s totally worth it. I’ve built 4 separate six-figure business and a mailing list of over 160,000 readers using this easy cross-promotion model.

These suggestions really are only the beginning of what’s possible with membership sites. Just about every marketing, sales and promotional basic, can be made more effective by implementing a membership model. I hope you’ll stay tuned as I bring you new ways to exploit this simple platform each month.
