I just finished a report on how to monetize your list building efforts and how to structure the 4 pages you need to make any squeeze or lead capture page campaign profitable. I announced it to a small list yesterday to test both the purchase system and the conversion rate. Both were fairly succesful BUT…

It seems quite a few had trouble with either getting the email for the log in or in some cases realising it wasnt a free product. SO…

I would really appreciate some comments from those who either purchased or tried to purchase and had a problem. here is the link to the report again just in case you missed it <wink> my free resources.com

One of the things I would like to have you comment on was the form itself, did it confuse you into thinking it was just a subscription form and therefore free, and if it did how could I alter the page to make it clear.

Thanks
Robert</wink>

Its an ill wind that blows nobody any good

In every storm cloud there is a silver lining

Just two of the phrases going through my mind today, I was sat down at lunch with my wife listening to the news on the radio, and one of the news items was the fact that the UK economy was in a downturn and that the good old british pound was losing value against the dollar.

Cause for concern?

For 90% of the folks out there sure it was a downturn in the economy isn’t a good thing. but the silver lining thing jumped into my head. You see as an internet marketer who makes his income from selling online and the dollar being the internet currency of choice for me thats a good thing.

If the dollar is worth more when I make the transfer into my bank account my income rises. Ok great i hear you say I happen to live in the US and there isnt a silver lining there for me. BUT IS THAT REALLY TRUE…

Here is another fact, all internet marketers benefit from an econimic downturn, when the economy starts to fall off more and more people look for another income source and more and more that means new people coming on line looking for that extra income to make up for their offline income.

As Internet marketers we can show an upturn in a recession, or at least keep our income steady by marketing to those who come on line looking for that extra income source.

By giving them good tools and products designed to help them break into at least a semi successful online experience. You see most people get into IM not to make a million in 10 days but to subsidise their offline income. If they can make enough to make their car payment, or pay their mortgage or even make the extra cash to pay for their vacation.

If your one of those people who would be happy to subsidise your income and whack the recession then I have something for you. Harris Felman, Tellman Knudson and Shawn Casey (with the help of Sal) have just launched the recession rescue system, * If you’re struggling with money right now, you owe it to yourself to learn how to recession proof your income. you can check it out here Whack the Recession with the Recession Rescue System

The idea of the "Recession Rescue System" is that we are teaching people how to build a recession proof business. RRS teaches 3 different levels of recession proofing your income. It’s a low cost, high value offer so be sure to check it out today

Today James Grandstaff launches his instant MLM squeeze pages

I have had the pleasure of playing around in the system for the last couple of days, one of the re brandable ebooks “How to get rich building a LAZY Downline” is absolutely perfect for building a list using traffic exchanges. It reaches out to every traffic exchage users instincts to build a downline, and their frustration over signups that don’t do anything. I took the report added it to a squeeze page of my own and set up a double optin auto responder especially for it so I could test the sign up rate.

And double optin is important because it gives you two bites at the oto cherry (hmm that sounds like a report I should write) anyway I digress on with the reason for the post…

In 48 hours the report squeeze has added 15 subscribers and made one $97 sale from the offer on the subscribe thank you page, I’d say that was a result if it sticks with that ROI 15 subs and $97 sale every 48 hours. So how can you get the report and the templates for my test. Yes sir I want to give you the very templates I used to set up the test. the squeeze page, the two thank you page templates are yours when you go join James new site launching today.

For the launch period he is giving you access for $1

Here is the link
squeezepagesecrets

Why would you want to do that?

Well you could just give away my copy of the report

Or you could take the dollar trial and rebrand the book with your ID and have 2 bites at the cherry (this is why double optin) because the ebook download page sells James new program and when it opens its doors 12 noon EST you could be making 2 sales every 48 hours.

So how do you set these templates up?

Well the squeeze is easy, just put it into rotation in all the exchanges your in.

Thank you 1 is the link you add into your aweber autoresponder code as the thank you for subscribing page
Thank you 2 is the link you add in as the page they are redirected to when they confirm

This is why double optin is so cool. you dont give them the link in the first email you use the thank you pages to deliver the gift, so you can add in an extra bonus (to a free to join site like instant squeeze page generator) or just make an offer to your new subscriber.

I tell you what, I’m going to trust you. Here is the link to download the zip file with the squeeze page templates download the templates here
But if your smart your going to join James site at squeezepagesecrets and rebrand the report with your affiliate links

Is it?

Or does it cater to paranoia from people who should know better…

Try reading this
is noscript more pain than its worth

Or this
NoScript makes google analytics slow down considerably

There is a whole bunch of cool stuff you cant use if you don’t know how to operate no scripts properly. And i have to say most of the stuff no scripts is supposed to protect you against can be combated with much less intrusive methods. The continued use of no scripts will over time blank people out from a whole lot of cool stuff.

The real story here though is this…

Every single person in Internet marketing is here to make money and build lists get sign ups etc. that’s the bottom line and this add on is absolutely without question a barrier to that end. I know the problem so I know how to combat it, I put things in place to circumvent the barriers in an efficient way to maximise my sales process.

can the same be said for all the little guys out there struggling to get sign ups and make sales, if they don’t have both sides of the story, if they have to resort to inferior marketing methods because of a simple script that was supposed to make them safe (instead of rich) is that a good thing or a bad thing?

The most needy are the most vulnerable to its side effects, and ignorance in this case is not bliss

If your already struggling to compete and you don’t realise the side effect of noscript then you just made it 10 times harder for the little guy to make any headway. Does it effect me yes somewhat i get a little irritated when i see a support ticket from someone who is bitching because they missed the one time offer because the screen went blank. But that sale (or potential sale) was probably going to an affiliate who worked hard to send the customer to me and lost out on his affiliate commission because of an add on script that someone blindly told that person to use without telling them the side effects.

Your affiliate commissions are smaller (or non existent) because of no scripts

this isn’t about me and my loss, its about you and your losses. I know on average the stuff that’s blocked by no script is much more efficient in producing sales and subscribers so i play the percentage game, but affiliates generally lose out on hard earned commissions when it loses those sales.

Playing safe rarely turns a profit worth the effort

Read about the side effects of fire fox add ons like no more scripts has and how they effect YOU… And How you can stem the hemorrhage here

A rant…

Firefox sucks

I know I know..

The debate over Firefox versus Internet Explorer is one that brings out a whole lot of passion from each camp. But let me tell you something I’m sure not a lot of people know.

First let me pre qualify this rant…

I have absolutely nothing against Firefox itself as a browser, personally I hated it, but there are thousands of Im’ers who love the thing and use it religiously.

That’s fine it’s a completely personal choice and we all make them every day. We use a particular tool get used to using it and anything else that comes out isn’t quite the same we all have preferences

So the normal IE versus Firefox is not the issue here

It’s the add ons… and one in particular that’s costs IM"ers thousands of dollars and thousands of subscribers every day.

Because people have no idea of the detrimental effect this add on has to their bottom line and this insidious little add on continues to deprive you of sales and subscribers every day.

In a recent conference room I let rip my feelings over this nasty little add on, and suggested if someone took the time to research and document all the ways it cost you and me money and subscribers I would gladly tell the world about it.

One very sharp individual saw my outburst as an opportunity and did just that, they researched and documented every situation where it cut into your list building and sales.

And in the spirit of my offer that day I want you to go look at the report, The report is free and available for you to use as a list builder giveaway for your self.

And its in everyone’s best interest to get this information out to all you subscribers and members.

So here’s the link to the site

http://robertpuddy.com/reccommends/firefoxsucks

I was so passionate about this I donated a copy of Launch Formula marketing script to help Sunny put this together, I will also be actively recruiting my friends and colleagues to help with the promotion in order to get this into the hands of as many people as possible

Some of the things this nasty little add-on does to hurt you

stops people seeing your payment buttons (ironically her first customer support ticket was from someone who wanted to purchase the OTO but couldn’t because they had this add on turned on)

restricts which autoresponder subscribe forms you can use

totally blocks out payment pages from some payment processors so even if they see your payment button when they click on it they only get a blank white page

Want to know which add on and how to combat it?

visit
http://robertpuddy.com/reccommends/firefoxsucks and help Sunny get the word
out

Frustrated with the way some members are not listening and using Traffic exchanges in a completely innapropriate way, I decided to put my money where my mouth is and give Advertising Know How members a purpose built squeeze page to run in traffic exchanges with a product I sell for $47 as the hook.

If they use it, then they cant help but build there own list, and i’m even supplying the AR series for them to put into their autoresponder. Over the years I find I pay out the most in affiliate commissions to those people who have a list of their own.

So the new affiliate links instead of promoting Advertising Know-How now promotes the members own list building, kinda goes against the grain of all other affiliate programs out there by not promoting my site directly.

But giving them a way to build a list of their own should mean my affiliates will sell more of my products, So I made it go live today lets see if I’m crazy or a genius

Here is the sample url to the new link you have in your affiliate tool box
Build your list with this exclusive affiliate page in Advertising Know-How

To take advantage of this new exclusive AKH strategy you need to log in and read the new welcome page, and add in your autoresponder code, press save then click on the link to the affiliate tool box to get the link to your new list building page.

Remember you can use this list to promote any product you wish to, promoting AKH is not compulsary, you can use the squeeze page and the special gift to build a list to promote what ever you want to. We do hope some of you choose to promote AKH using the 7 pre written emails that you will also find in the affiliate tool box area.

Good luck with your list building

There is an old adage in offline sales that every sales manager worth his salt will use to judge his sales force… “If your not getting complaints and cancelations your not pushing hard enough” and its true online too. Here’s another little tidbit…

YOU CANT WIN EM ALL, SO USE THE METHODS THAT GET THE HIGHEST SCORE
(disclaimer i’m talking legal methods)

Want another one…

Dont make the customers mind up for him, you dont know him/her so dont presume they cant afford it, or dont need it, or dont want it. And don’t presume because they said no to the first offer they wont be interested in the next offer because in In selling no doesnt mean no forever it just means you haven’t made the right offer yet. So keep making offers untill the customer either buys or leaves the site. Even if they do purchase your first offer dont presume they dont want the upgrade or the kewl add on that goes with it etc etc.

Its not your job to make the customers mind up for them, its your job to keep selling to them, if you were a salesman offline working for an employer you would soon lose your job if you didnt hit targets and quota’s. Its the same with online marketing, if a prospect is on your website then its your job to sell them as many of your products as you can persuade them to buy.

Once while training a new salesman for the company I worked for I watched him get up 5 times from a presentation because the customer said no, 5 times I countered the objection and the end result was the prospect became a customer and bought 2 units for every workshop he operated from (and he had 3 locations making 6 sales in all). Had the trainee got up and left at the first no then that sale wouldn’t have been made.

If you never get cancelations then you wern’t pushy enough, make the sale deal with buyers remorse afterwards. If you let go to early yes you wont get to many complaints but conversly you will have left some sales behind that would have been fine if you had only pushed a little harder.

Traffic exchange is probably the worst name someone could have come up with for what is probably in its simplest form is a classified ad network on steroids.

10 years ago when these were first invented they were in essence a “you show me yours and I will show you mine” scenario, and was probably the very first integrated marketing concept with people sharing traffic with each other.

Bear in mind it’s a phenomenon solely targeted to money making opportunity seekers (IE: Internet Marketers) if your in this Niche then it’s as targeted as it gets.

Dismissing it out of hand is truly closing your mind to the obvious. 100,000’s of internet marketers all of whom are exactly your target market is a dream come true, The only question in your mind should be how to leverage that fact.

Despite doing this marketing online thing for 5 years it still amazes me how much I don’t know. I had the privilege of sitting in on a management meeting at the Mike Filsaime headquarters, I’m not going to divulge what was said because it was confidential, and as i say it was a privilege, but I have to say I came away with a whole lot of stuff to do on my business that I wouldn’t have thought of.

If you ever get the chance to sit down with someone like Mike and discuss this business then take it with bells on. If your an action taker, you cannot fail to make a success of your business if you take coaching from experts. I have always said you need to get out and attend seminars and workshops, I have always said you need to take advantage of any learning experience from those that day in day out make this business tick.

But after sitting in like a fly on the wall in Mikes board room, I will be shouting from the roof tops about this stuff at every opportunity…

My personal Thanks to Mike for allowing me to listen in.
