Hidden Traffic Formula May 31, 2008

Posted by Robert Puddy in : Business , trackback

Traffic exchange is probably the worst name someone could have come up with for what is probably in its simplest form is a classified ad network on steroids.

10 years ago when these were first invented they were in essence a “you show me yours and I will show you mine” scenario, and was probably the very first integrated marketing concept with people sharing traffic with each other.

Bear in mind it’s a phenomenon solely targeted to money making opportunity seekers (IE: Internet Marketers) if your in this Niche then it’s as targeted as it gets.

Dismissing it out of hand is truly closing your mind to the obvious. 100,000’s of internet marketers all of whom are exactly your target market is a dream come true, The only question in your mind should be how to leverage that fact.

I’ve often wondered about this issue and I can’t resolve the issue of whether it’s singing to the choir or a valid means of marketing.

Its the problem all round, bad press and lack of results because of using them incorrectly sour peoples perception of them.

But as i get 3500 new subscribers a month from that source, and their are a lot of others making 6 figures a year using the same resource. Its really only a matter of educating people to use them properly.

Dear Mr. Puddy. I, like many other people are aware of TEs with names such as clickingcrazy, your TE with joint owner, Jon Olsen, Krazyexchange, FunnyFarm Traffic. I am a mental health advocate for a voc. rehab program in Phila,PA. These including yours don’t bother me. However there is one exchange named Trafficassylum.
I personally find this TE quite insensitive, offensive. There is nothing humerous about ECT, having a mental illness. Psychiatric illnesses are just as much illnesses as physical ones. People with them suffer not only from the sickness but also the stigma. I realize the owners of TA are being humerous. I just wish they’d remember how hurtful some stigmatizing images can be to people with mental illness. I realize there is no guarantee my message will make a difference to you. Well as they say no harm in trying. Sincerely
Lynda Appell

A good topic and I was intrigued by the point of your post. I would have liked more. Is the ‘formula”
Hidden+Traffic+Formula+exchange
at the bottom of the post supposed to be a link to the remainder of the article, or is it the summary to end it? If it’s a link (as it seems to be), it’s going to a 404 page.

As for the “want more,” you say the only question is “how to leverage that fact,” i.e. the fact that traffic exchanges are massive groups of extremely targeted prospects for those of us in that niche. Then you refer twice in your comment response to “using” them; properly or incorrectly.

Here is where I wish your post would have expanded, giving some examples of proper and incorrect use of traffic exchanges. It seems the obvious is not so obvious to many of us. :)

thank you, please continue….

Becky

great pearls of wisdom

Here’s the incorrect way of using traffic exchange:

You want to promote the latest e-book from clickbank and so you add the affiliate link directly to each of the traffic exchange you belong to. Then you start surfing and buying credits here and there and after about 100 hours of surfing and wasting $100 on credits, you get no sales.

That’s your typical scenario why some say traffic exchange doesn’t work because the are not using it properly.

On the other hand you start taking people’s advice and you start building a list and sign up for a third party program like Yourluckylist.com. So you start promoting it like crazy and after 2 months or so you only manage to refer 4 people then you email those four people several times to tell them about a product that you like, you get no response.

They get discourage and frustrated and the only thing that will make them feel better is to blame someone or something, and that
s why they would say traffic exchange is a waste of time.

I hope that helps answer your questions.

I do not agree with you there Paul….No take that back I do agree with what you said but there is more to it than that……..incorrect way….
All of these supposed gurus of TE with their insider secrets so to speak….They tell you to join multiple TE’s and surf them all at once with mozilla……..or another of your favorite browsers with a tab function…What this does is, sure it gets you alot of credits but you see nothing when you surf as you are going from one tab to the other to the other and nothing done…….fine……Think of it like this…if youare doing this then chances are there are alot of other people doing it as well and if most of the people on the TE’s are doing as such then no one is seeing anything……what the “so Called” GURU’S” are doing is they are using the TE”s to promote “Insider secrets to making TE’s work and build you many credits.” For more information fill out the form below………..They have just built “Their” list that way and are now on their way to promoting their BIZ-OPS and leaving the rest of us behind who are really trying to market a good thing……..But the chances of changing this now are slim to none….Now you must go out side the TE’s and find your traffic resources else where……I have had the most success, believe it or not, with advertising through E-zines and solo add marketing, and have had great success promoting my business with social networking sites like yuwie……

I never told you to do all that George…

You have been listening to the wrong people, and the hidden traffic formula is all about setting the record straight. All about telling you what works.

9. Tim - June 24, 2008

ok, So Robert lets back to the point. Where is the tutorial, you know the video with step by step how to do something that works for all of those 92% who are not making it with BIZ OP’s?

Like the Wendy’s commercial “WHERE’S THE BEEF?”

Or is it here and I am just not finding it? All I get is 404 ?

By The Way, What is Social Book Marking and How does it work?
