You've Only Got 24 Hours Robert
When you learn something new, you've
got just 24 hours to use it or lose it.
24 hours until you forget most
of what you read, most of what you learned, and most of what could have made
or saved you time or money.
24 hours isn't much time, is it?
But
if you implement what you learned within that 24 hour time period, it's yours
for life.
You not only know that information, you OWN it. It's a
part
of you – something you can call on anytime you need it again.
So as
you read this weeks's edition, or when you watch the webinar tomorrow ask
yourself:
Can I implement this within 24 hours?
Can I use this
information right now?
If the answer is yes, then stop reading and go do
it.
And it'll be yours for life.

On Email Subject Lines
Two things
here: First, did you know one of the subject lines with the highest open rate
is, "Hey"?
That's right. Of course, now that we've told you that,
everyone will start using it and it's effectiveness
will go down.
But
if we can figure out what makes "Hey" so powerful,
we might be able to
duplicate its success with other subject lines.
Notice that it's
extremely short so it's bound to capture attention. And it's also something
one friend might write to another.
So what one word subject lines can
you think of that would get high open rates?
Do they sound personal,
like
they're from a friend? Even better.
My second note on subject lines is
this:
I don't know if it's true in other email programs, but
in Gmail
if you use a whole string of === or *** as your email's first line, then
nothing will be visible to the recipient except the subject line until they
open the email.
This means that your first sentence in your email is
hidden and all they see is white space.
Why does this matter?
Because when your recipients have a whole stack of new emails to open and
yours is the only one with white space after the subject line, your email
will stand apart from the others.

What to do if your information product didnt sell?
Hey, it happens. You spend hours creating a product and only sell a few
copies. Guess what? That's okay, for two reasons.
First, you've now
got more experience creating products.
Second, and this is the big
reason – you can re-purpose the content.
Maybe it didn't sell as a $27
product, but can you turn it into a Kindle book and sell a few copies a
day? "But I'll only make $5-$10 bucks a day on
Kindle." Yeah, multiply that
by 365 days and tell me if it's worth it.
You can re-purpose it into
list building material, email autoresponder series and so forth.
You
can rename it and re-market it, because odds are you didn't do a very good
job the first time because you're still learning.
You can use it as a
free bonus to sell more of your next product.
You can repackage it –
if it's audio, add video.
If it's video, add a pdf.
You can sell
rights to it.
You can sell an entire website and sales funnel based
around it, and so forth.
You now have an asset.
And even if it
didn't sell very well in its first incarnation, there are plenty of things
you can do to still make money from it.

Focusing on the things
we cannot control
It's like the weather:
Everyone talks about it,
but no one does anything about it.
Why?
Obviously because we
can't do anything about it.
We can't control the weather, but we can
certainly control where we live.
Hate the snow of the north? Move
south.
Don't like the summer heat? Move to the coast.
It's the
same way in your online business...
If you simply focus on those things
you can control and stop wasting time on the things you cannot
control,
you will be happier and more productive.
Getting what you want out of
life is all about controlling what you can and using it to your own
advantage.
Forget the things you cannot control and focus on
those
things that are within your power to control.
You'll find you have less
stress and more success.
